Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Computer Science

Directors of the Institute

Paola Flocchini : Director of OCICS and Director of Graduate Studies at EECS (Univeristy of Ottawa)
Anil Maheshwari : Associate Director of OCICS and Associate Director of Graduate Studies in Computer Science at SCS (Carleton University)

Students who wish to pursue graduate studies in computer science leading to the degree of Master of Computer Science (MCS) or Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science (PhD) can do so in joint programs offered by the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), formerly known as the School of Information Technology and Engineering (SITE), at the University of Ottawa and the School of Computer Science (SCS) at Carleton University under the auspices of the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Computer Science (OCICS). The Institute is responsible for supervising these programs and for providing a framework for interaction between the schools in graduate computer science education. In addition to the faculty members from the two computer science programs, the Institute also has members with computer science expertise from other departments. Requests for information and application forms should be sent to the graduate secretaries handling the admission process (refer to Contact OCICS).
